o1. Basic Joining Instructions
Joining Feles is easy. Locate the 'register' button and register. From there, you should get a conformation email, and immediately you'll be ready to get in on the fun!
By clicking on 'Profile' on top, you can navigate to the 'Edit Profile' button and change things - your display image, your icon, your signature, your pronouns... don't worry if there's still things you can't fill out (high position application field, main cat, etc). You don't need to have everything filled out - you just joined, after all!
o2. Links to Look At
Truthfully, anything in the Rules & Guides section is useful. Here you can see battle tactics, herbs, forum rules... anything you need can be found here. If there's something we're missing, contact a staff member with your suggestion or post in the Suggestions board.
And, of course, should you get lost along the way or if you're not certain about a specific rule- or even help with coding tables, or editing graphics - you can ask for help in the section labelled Help.
One more important place to look is the Announcements board, where Fern or another staff member will specify when things have changed.
o3. Creating A Character
This one's a fun one, but can be the hardest step when you've just joined.
First, you'll want to head over to the Create a Character board, which has the Character Application you'll be needing, as well as a Bans and Encouragements post. Pay attention to the latter so you aren't creating something that's not acceptable!
Then from there, you'll want to head over to the Works in Progress board, where you can post your topic and start working on your character.
Important to note: You may want to read about the clan information and maybe check out the Clan map so you know where you're putting your cat.
Once you're done editing, save your changes and mention an admin in a new post in the same thread - Fern , Shortee , and Shades all accept character applications, so just do an @ and their username (or for Fern, you do @ admin) and they'll check it when they have time.
Not sure where to start with a character, but really ready to jump into roleplay? There's an Adoptions board for character wanted ads posted by members. You might want to take one of these if you're feeling uninspired or want to have connections established in-roleplay already!
o4. Getting Into the Community
We have a shoutbox on the side, but not everyone uses it. It's highly suggested that you join the Discord - Discord is a messaging app, mostly centered around gamers (but obviously suited for other things, such as roleplay discussion). It's free and doesn't contain any malware!
You may also want to post a thread in the Introductions board so you can get to know some of the familiar faces of Feles.
We also have a General forum for general topics, and a Workshop board for posting your creations, whether it's writing, art, or anything else that might not fit under either category!
From there, you should be ready to enter the world of Feles. Thanks for reading!
